I have always felt that #blacklivesmatter didn't have a symbol and I understand the power of symbology.
This is a visual symbol that states the following: "We built this nation. With our hands. With our spirits. With our culture. With our creativity. With our ideas. On our backs. We are embedded into the fabric of this nation. You can't get rid of us. America can't define itself without including us."
The colors of Pan-Africanism is used to articulate that we just want liberation and justice in this country just like every other American. #alliesandchampions
